Even the youngest of readers will recognize Bennett’s tendency to feel sorry for himself and his impulsive hastiness in making the decision to run away, but even so, the main character is likable and relatable throughout the story, and readers can’t help but sympathize with him when he feels sad, and cheer with him at the story’s happy conclusion. Bennett’s has tan fur, a white tummy, and an energetic fluffy tail. 32 pages.
